Michelle A. Ridnour, MD, FACOG
I grew up in Minne“snow”ta in a suburb of Minneapolis. I graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Biology. I went directly to medical school in Detroit, MI. I received my M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1993. Not only did I receive a great education, but I met my husband the first day of orientation to medical school! We were married 2 days after we graduated. I completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI in 1997. My husband loves to ski and I wanted to head to warmer climates. He convinced me to visit this “little town called Colorado Springs” that was near to skiing, but much more temperate than Minnesota and Michigan. The rest is history! We moved here after graduation. I joined the practice in July 1997. My husband joined Anesthesia Associates of Colorado Springs. We have both been in these same practices ever since.
I have been actively involved with Memorial Hospital since my arrival. I delivered 2 of my 3 children there (the oldest arrived during residency). I was the Chairman of the Department of Ob/Gyn from 2002-2003, Chief of Staff elect from 2004-2005, and the Chief of Staff 2006-2007.
My spare time is spent in the usual busy hustle of soccer games, school carpools and cooking. Our family avidly enjoys the ski season, hiking and travel.
